Terms of Service

Last updated: TBD. To be finalized with the board before public launch.

These terms govern your use of springfieldtogether.org (the "Site"), operated by Springfield Together, Inc., a Massachusetts nonprofit corporation (EIN 83-2443347). By using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don't, please don't use the Site.

Use of the Site

You may browse the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

Donations

Donations made through this Site are processed by a third-party payment platform (such as Givebutter). Springfield Together, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt from the payment platform on the organization's behalf. Donations are generally non-refundable; if you believe a donation was made in error, contact us within 30 days and we'll try to help.

Volunteering and program participation

Signing up to volunteer or participate in a Springfield Together program does not create an employment relationship. Volunteers act on their own behalf and follow the guidance of event organizers. Photo releases may be required to participate in events where images are captured; those releases are separate from these Site terms.

Content and intellectual property

The Site's design, logos, text, and images are the property of Springfield Together, Inc. or its licensors. You may share links to the Site freely. You may quote small portions of Site text for non-commercial, editorial purposes with attribution. All other uses require written permission from Springfield Together.

Third-party links

The Site links to third-party services (donation platforms, social media, news coverage, government resources). We're not responsible for those services' content, terms, or privacy practices. Your use of them is subject to their own terms.

Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is." We do our best to keep the information here accurate and up to date, but we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. If any content appears to be out of date or incorrect, please email us and we'll fix it.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Springfield Together, Inc., its board, volunteers, and partners are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Massachusetts law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage for at least 30 days.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts of Hampden County, Massachusetts.
