How it works
Ali Bulut, who owns Inter Produce, donates the food. Roughly 200 boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables go out per event, distributed to school families through the City Connects program at Springfield public schools. WWLP 22News has covered the partnership.
Our previous website said Bulut had run six of these in the preceding twelve months, which is the only figure we have for how often they happen. We have not counted them ourselves, so we do not claim a cadence beyond that.
Three individual giveaways are dated from flyers and have their own pages: May 2020 and November 2020 on White Street, and February 2022 at the Ludlow store.
